The Big Centenary Tea Party
Learners and members of the team at Regent College were among around 15,000 people who came together on 8 July to participate in The Big Centenary Tea Party.
The landmark event was held to mark Stoke-on-Trent’s 100th anniversary. Communities across the city were invited to participate in a history-making event in an attempt to break the world record for the largest cream tea party held across multiple venues.
According to the City of Stoke-on-Trent’s website, Guinness World Records adjudicators have formally verified a new Guinness World Record!
Big Centenary Tea Party Celebrations at Regent College
Regent College was very proud to be part of the centenary celebrations. It really was a party to remember!
Everyone got involved with preparing decorations, making the food, and celebrating in a very quintessential way.
British Values were demonstrated by all learners, with turn-taking, random acts of kindness, and courtesy, to name a few.
“What a wonderful event to be part of; everyone at Regent College is very proud to help our city celebrate its centenary with our community. It really has been a party to remember!”
Wendy Williams, Regent College Principal
