A Fantastic Year of Achievements

The Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent and other special guests celebrate the achievements of learners at our annual Celebration Day Ceremony

Regent College’s annual Celebration Day recognises all the incredible achievements of learners during the academic year.

Our 2025 Celebration Day was hosted by Port Vale Football Club. It was a pleasure to host the Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent, Councillor Steve Watkins, who presented learners with their awards, as well as valued partners, teaching and support colleagues, and, of course, our learners and their families.

“Regent College’s annual Celebration Day is always a wonderful occasion, with learners, tutors, and guests coming together to reflect on everything we have achieved throughout the academic year. Congratulations to everyone for another brilliant year of learning!”

Awards Ceremony

Each tutor group was celebrated, with every learner commended for the qualifications, accreditations, and certifications they had achieved throughout the academic year, as well as for their work experience and volunteering.

Tutors also shared stories about learners’ outstanding achievements and celebrated their WOW moments! Many of the learners’ WOW moments are those of personal progression and development.

For some of our 4th and 5th-year learners who have completed their studies, our Celebration Day was a final and emotional celebration as they transition to the next chapter of their lives.

We also celebrated the brilliant achievements of our staff.

British Values Awards

Next up was the British Values Awards, which recognise learners who have demonstrated fundamental British values throughout the academic year.

Learners are nominated by peers in their tutor group for things like displaying positive behaviour, helping others, being supportive, and showing respect.

The overall winner was Jack. He was awarded for helping to lead the tennis sessions and encouraging other learners, as well as being respectful and kind to everyone whilst being a compere at Regent’s Got Talent.

Regent’s Got Talent

The 2025 finalists and winner of our annual talent contest – Regent’s Got Talent – proudly entertained guests with star acts.

Our winners were Jessie, Charles, Kelsey, and Dylan, who sang “I Was Made For Loving You” by KISS.

Our second-place finalist was Sam, who sang ‘All of Me’ by John Legend.

In third place was Jessie, who sang to ‘Can We Start Again Please’ from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
