When you work in education, the summer ‘holidays’ can often be one of the busiest and most chaotic times of the year getting ready for the year ahead.
At Regent College, after a very busy few weeks, our group of eight intrepid colleagues decided to set off on a team-building trip to Moel Siabod in Snowdonia. Led by DoE Tutor Alan Baxter.
They camped, they climbed mountains, and they endured torrential rain, but the expedition was a success due to their team spirit, grit, and determination.
The opportunity to be in an environment away from the college provided a great opportunity to get to know each other better and build stronger bonds.
Alan Baxter, Health & Fitness/Duke of Edinburgh Tutor says:
“On August 21st eight NCG colleagues set off from Regent College to take part in two-day team building/colleague training event in Snowdonia.
New skills were reinforced and learned including camping, navigation, mountaineering, scrambling, understanding the environment and cooking outdoors.
The expedition up Moel Siabod was a real challenge in adverse weather conditions. Teamwork, grit, and determination were among the traits applied to help the ‘Fab 8’ complete the 13k circular trek/scramble up and down Moel Siabod.
Hopefully, similar colleague team building events can be planned for the future, as we continue to develop our wonderful colleagues.”
