Take part in activities at the Apedale Community Country Park

Regent College arranges for a lot of learning activities to happen at the Apedale Community Country Park in Chesterton. If you choose to, you could get involved with running a hospitality event at the Energy Centre, volunteering at the café, or helping to maintain the gardens and our award-winning allotment.

Make friends

The college has many communal areas and opportunities to make friends and socialise.

There is a great canteen where you can enjoy lunch and relax with friends. There is also a large room where events and meetings, including charity fundraisers and wellbeing get-togethers, are held.

Help to organise charity fundraising events and activities

You will have the chance to get involved in a wide range of charity fundraising events throughout the year. New ideas are also welcome – everyone’s ideas for supporting charities are listened to and supported.

Regent College proudly supports Guide Dogs UK and is currently organising events to raise funds for a puppy in training called Kevin. This, amongst other charitable work including volunteering at local charity shops, gives everyone the chance to get involved.

Take part in Sports Week

Held once a year, the event offers all learners the chance to enjoy a week of sports activities and skills development. Most events take place at sports facilities in the local community. Tennis, rounders, climbing, dance, yoga, football, and team games are just some of the activities that learners could choose to take part in. At the end of the week, everyone receives a medal and recognition for taking part.

Sports Week aligns with the Department for Education’s British values curriculum, which aims to improve young people’s spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.

Join the Eco Committee

All learners are invited to join the Regent College Eco Committee. Members meet regularly and work together on green and sustainable activities in college and out in the local community. For example, members are involved in litter picking and recycling, nurturing wildlife by growing butterflies, and maintaining our allotment at Apedale Park.
